NKJ Ayurvedic Medical College aka N K Jabshetty Ayurvedic Medical College & PG Centre is considered as a centre of excellence for Ayurveda education. It’s affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi Health University. The college has well equipped fourteen departments and a team of highly qualified teaching faculty. Class rooms of the college are equipped with exhibits, charts, specimens and audio- visual aids like slides, transparency sheets, audio & videocassettes, CD’s, OHP and LCD Projector. The college has well equipped laboratories facilitated with modern technology. Library is stocked with medical journals, magazines, references books and periodicals.

The college provides separate hostels for boys and girls and the hostel can afford 100 students at a time. It’s facilitated with wardrobes, cots, book shelves, study table and vegetarian food.  It was established by Sri Chidambara Shikshana Samsthe headed by Param Poojya Sri Sri Shiva Kumar Swamiji of Sri Siddharudh Math aimed to provide professional education & enrich the students and effective health care to the suffering human being of this region and to propagate the Indian System of Medicine- Ayurveda with the motto of “Health for All”

It was etablished in the year 1980. The college is recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine, CCIM) New Delhi (the apex body for Ayurvedic education from Govt. of India) since 1991 and follows the syllabus recommended by CCIM, New Delhi.
